Sharing a touching photo of herself and her son Arthur at the resting place of the late Shamsher—who would have been Arthur’s twin—Celina expressed, “I wished I could save him… but I couldn’t.” She reflected on the heartbreaking moment she was diagnosed with Shamsher’s condition, hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), during her second twin pregnancy, which occurred shortly after her father’s passing.

Although Celina consulted leading doctors in Dubai, London, and India, Shamsher’s condition remained untreatable. She revealed, “The most difficult part... was not being able to do anything while I was pregnant.” Reflecting on her helplessness as a mother, Celina said, “We endured the pregnancy in pain & prayer, hoping for a miracle… I wished there were medicines I could take… but there was nothing.”

Jaitley’s message also carried a sense of hope and thankfulness: “God did not leave us empty-handed. I often think what life would have been had Shamsher survived. Seeing the older twins’ camaraderie, I feel Arthur misses that deeply.” She reflected on how Shamsher’s absence still deeply affects Arthur, and how her other children do their best to support and comfort their youngest sibling.

Celina Jaitly began her acting career with the 2003 film ‘Janasheen’ and later featured in hits like ‘No Entry’, ‘Golmaal Returns’ and ‘Tom’, ‘Dick’ and ‘Harry’. In 2011, she married Austrian hotelier Peter Haag. The couple is blessed with two sets of twins: their first pair, Winston and Viraaj, was born in 2012, followed by Arthur and Shamsher in 2017. Sadly, Shamsher passed away due to a congenital heart condition.
