The accident, caused by a stray cattle, resulted in severe spine and brain injuries. After being on life support for nearly two weeks, Jawanda succumbed to his injuries, leaving the entertainment industry in mourning.

The entertainment industry is in a state of profound grief and shock, as the Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda breathed his last at just 35 years of age. On September 27, Rajvir met with a tragic accident while on a trip, and he passed away after being in critical care for almost two weeks. According to PTI, the Punjabi singer was at 10.55 am on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, said the hospital authorities.

Rajvir Jawanda’s cause of death

Rajvir Jawanda met with a road accident near Himachal Pradesh’s Baddi. Reportedly, a stray cattle came in front of his vehicle suddenly, due to which he lost control. He was admitted to the city hospital, sustaining spine and brain injuries. The singer suffered a cardiac arrest there, after which he was referred to Fortis Hospital, Mohali.Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited the singer at the hospital, and when he came out, he confirmed that Rajvir was admitted under extreme conditions. As days passed, the hospital authorities issued regular updates, stating that there was no significant improvement in the singer’s physical and neurological condition. He was under intensive care and remained on life support.According to the hospital statement shared by ANI, multiple organ failure has been cited as the cause of death.
"Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda passed away at 10:55 AM on October 8, 2025, at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. He was admitted on September 27, 2025, in an extremely critical condition following a road accident that caused severe spinal injuries and brain damage. Despite extensive medical support and continuous monitoring by the Critical Care and Neurosurgery teams, he succumbed to multiple organ failure this morning. Our deepest condolences to his family and fans," reads the statement.
Further, addressing the media, Punjabi singer Mankirt Aulakh shared that Rajvir had suffered two spinal fractures and a broken neck. This affected the oxygen supply to his brain; thus, he was on a ventilator for 11 days. Although there were brief signs of improvement, his condition worsened in the last few days.

Tributes pour in for Rajvir Jawanda

The same artists who had been praying for his speedy recovery and were urging fans to do the same have now taken to their social media handles to express their grief. "Our very dear Rajveer Jawanda is no more with us. Today, a priceless diamond from the world said goodbye to this mortal world. Today, a mother's son, a sister's brother, a wife's friend, a father of children, and a friend of friends said goodbye to all. May Waheguru bless the family with the strength to accept the fate. I stand with the Jawanda family as much yoga. Waheguru," shared Mankirt.
