At the film's premiere, Vijay Sethupathi expressed his gratitude to the team and the audience, hoping that the film would resonate with viewers in theaters, according to India Glitz.

Reports emerged suggesting that the actor had pressured individuals to remove online videos related to his son. When questioned by reporters about this, Vijay Sethupathi offered a clarification: "If something like that happened, it might have been done unknowingly or by someone else. I sincerely apologize if anyone was hurt or misunderstood the intention."

'Phoenix' received a significant boost when superstar Thalapathy Vijay watched the film privately and shared his feedback with the team. Director Anal Arasu, also a stunt choreographer, posted a photo with Vijay and Surya, stating, "Bloody sweet!
